Digital payments and banking technology company, Cashfree, has announced its collaboration with Dukaan, a leading SaaS platform to create online stores, to enable seamless digital customer payment collections and disbursals for merchants who set up their digital stores through the platform.

Through this partnership with Cashfree, over 3 million merchants associated with Dukaan across 3200 tier 2 and 3 cities will have access to the online payment stack, making digital transactions easier than ever, a release said.

Dukaan is a user-friendly platform that helps merchants build their own ecommerce stores using a smartphone, requiring no programming skills. Cashfree’s ecommerce suite allows businesses to accept customer payments on their website, mobile app, social media channels or via payment link, offering over 100 payment options including UPI, wallets, EMI, and Pay Later methods, among others.

With the collaboration between Cashfree and Dukaan, end customers can make online payments directly to the digital shop owners ensuring instant settlements on a real-time basis. Thus, this partnership provides a holistic solution to businesses, from setting up and promotion to payments and delivery.

Cashfree CEO and Co-founder Akash Sinha said, “COD orders in the Indian ecommerce space have been on a decline since last year, with consumers increasingly turning to digital payment options.”

“Our partnership with Dukaan showcases how setting up an ecommerce store with an ability to collect online payments can be convenient for both merchants and end customers. We are seeing great traction for this solution in the grocery, fruits & vegetables and restaurant segments,” he added.

Dukaan Founder and CEO Suumit Shah said, “The pandemic has altered consumer shopping habits as online shopping is now a trusted medium that also helps in maintaining social distancing.”

“This increases the need for simplified customer-friendly payments to support the growing industry. We have partnered with Cashfree to bring a seamless payment experience for the end customers as well as the merchants on the Dukaan platform,” he added.

Cashfree’s ecommerce suite includes the company’s seamless payment gateway for websites and mobile apps, with a wide range of web and mobile checkout integrations.

Businesses can also send their customers’ payment links over WhatsApp or other social media channels and collect payments. Besides Dukaan, companies such as Nykaa, Ritu Kumar and Wakefit.co, among others use Cashfree to offer flawless payment experiences to their customers.
